Before you can issue a badge to an individual, a group of recipients or an organisation, you need to create the badge within the Certify platform. See article on creating a badge.
Once you have created a badge, click on "Issue badge" from the left hand navigation. You'll then be shown a list of the badges that you have available to issue.
Select a badge to issue by clicking the blue "Issue" button to the right of the badge name.
You now have two choices.
Please select how you wish to issue a badge from the buttons on the top right.:
1. Issue a badge to an individual recipient.
2. Issue a badge to multiple recipients using a CSV file upload.
1. Issuing a badge to an individual recipient.
Clicking on the green button titled "Issue badge". You will be taken to a page that looks like this:
You now have 2 further choices.
1. Issue to an individual. This option is for issuing a badge to a single person. You'll need their first name, last name and their email address. You can add an optional expiry date to the badge if you wish. This will overwrite any expiry date set when the badge was created in the system.
2. Issue to an organisation. This option is used when issuing a badge to a business/organisation. You'll need the organisation name, the email address for the organisation (tip: ensure it's an inbox that gets monitored). As before, you can add an optional expiry date to the badge if you wish. This will overwrite any expiry date set when the badge was created in the system.
Once ready, click the green "Issue badge" button and the badge will be issued. The recipient will receive an email alerting them about their new badge.
2. Issuing a badge to multiple recipients using a CSV file upload.
If you're issuing a badge to numerous recipients, using the individual method above will be time consuming. Our CSV upload feature takes the pain out of this process. After clicking "Bulk upload via CSV", you'll arrive on a page that looks like this:
Please select a valid CSV file from your computer and click the green "Import" button. For a sample CSV file, please click the link on the page to download one. Please do not edit any of the formatting or change column headers.
Note: The column for Organisation should only be filled in when issuing a badge to an organisation, not an individual. In this case, do not fill in the first name and last name.
